Wigs - Part 2

This is about my three older wigs. They're not the best quality so I don't like to wear them that much, with them  wasn't much of a fan of wigs either but as student you can hardly afford to buy many wigs. Even now I rather spend my money on make-up and clothes instead of wigs.
The first of the upcoming three is the one I like most out of those few. It was a present by my former Girlfriend during a con. Fun fact is that I expected it to be half the price it was but turned out a friend told me the wrong booth. Anyways, it was the pretty famous Rhapsody style that was in trend back then and partly still is. I only cut it more layers so it'd be more fluffy but nevertheless I can't wear it without a hat, like I had to learn, since the strands are so light it makes the wig be pretty see-through. But it's nice for Cult Party Kei, like I wore it around one year ago.

One picture was taken by a friend and the other one by Gelo Photography. It was from February last year for my first try with CPK. Actually, looking at the pictures brings back nice memories. It was soon after a school trip to Rome and one of my very first times to try out one of my favorite brands, Kiko. I really liked the outfit, probably I should redo something like that...
The layers are lightly visible on that one, it was my first wig to be cut but I still really like it. A more recent way to wear it was this one, I had it for the Long Night of Museums, an annual event in Vienna were museums are opened nearly the whole night and one needs only a single ticket for all of them. An event I really appreciate a lot!

My second wig is a pretty funny one because it was from when I ordered three wigs from ebay - two of them were fused to one. I cut out the single parts, sealed them with nail glue and then attached them to the whole week. It was tiresome and the sewing was rough, it isn't always easy to get the needle through the layers so I had to use my teeth for that even, causing a little notch to appear.
Anyways, working on that back then looked pretty much like that.

Afterwards I wore it only occasionally, I cut it the wrong way so it's uneven but the color is pretty nice so I don't want to give it away. It's a deep brown with a sometimes red-ish shine.

Please ignore that my makeup was done poorly, although I got surprisingly many compliments for it...
But the color comes through nicely, the weird cut being luckily hidden by the hat.

The last one is also a brown one, curly and I sewed in pink strands I had left over from my first and now somewhere wig. I did over many times and even were working on it the last weeks in pieces, making it look totally different now. I don't like the wig that much, to be honest, so I wore it only once yet, for a Gyaru meet a long time ago, looking like that.

Other pictures of it can be found here although I'm not recommending these noob days to anyone, pullover, again, is from Glavil by Tutuha.
The curles turned out to be horrible after that so I cut them short, leaving the pink brown mixed curls longer like one would do for Visual Kei but I changed style completely after that, following a tutorial by Reika.

Now it looks totally different from that. I made the backcombed style and added even black strands by now, not that visible yet though. I'm not finished with this wig yet, I still want to add more pink and black to it for both volume and color.
For people who wanna do more styling with their wigs besides being cosplayer, I'd rather recommend cheap wigs from, for example, ebay. Even if one orders a long wig, the cut off strands are still worth using like I did to cover up the glue a little better.

Maybe it helped some people to get an idea for how to style their wigs, probably it didn't because I don't think I'm that much of an inspiring person. Eventually might have gotten some idea about how one can style different wigs but it's always something everyone needs to decide for themselves, I'm doing pretty much most of my things out of pure fun and spontaneously.
